A mission statement of sorts
How should we eat? We have asked ourselves this question regularly over the years. Nutrition can be a divisive topic, but everyone pretty much agrees that the more added sugar, and the more heavily processed, the better. Just kidding. We think people are figuring out what healthy eating looks like for them. For us, the solid foundation of a good diet is eating a wide diversity of minimally-processed foods, prioritizing plants, and getting adequate protein.
You might have a specific focus: getting enough fiber or protein, or minimizing carbohydrates or added sugars. Or you might just be checking that you recognize all of the ingredients on a nutrition label. But in the dense forest of the supermarket's middle aisles, it's easy to get confused. Many products look virtuous but are actually highly-processed, have lots of added sugar, or use lower-quality ingredients.
That's where we come in. We think beans are nature's unsung superfood, the original plant protein. Beans are packed with protein, fiber, and valuable micronutrients. We thought, what if we could swap whole beans for other ingredients in some of the products we love, keep the processing to a minimum, and keep the tastiness to a maximum?
That’s what we do. We make wholesome products from beans -- beanstuffs, we call them. We love beans and we want you to love them, too.
