Fantastic customer service. My delivery was brought up to my apartment. I forgot the name of the delivery person, who was so nice.
I ordereed 3lbs of the Adzuki beans. I love this bean's international idenity. I've found that this bean is used in sweet as well as savory recipes. The various cultural recipes add to the expantion of my cookbook.
I mix the beans with whole black urad beans to make an Indian influenced chori recipe. I mix adzuki beans with black eyed peas to make tomato vinegarette salad. I also pair the adzuki bean with black rice and wild mushrooms to make a Haitian inspired dish.
I love the creaminess of the cooked bean that adds thickness to the broth. The flavor of the bean is nutty and smooth. It can star in a dish as well as elevate other ingredients. It is unique and very versatile.
